Connecting Members

Connecting Members

PMMI’s meetings brought members together in record numbers in 2022!

PMMI meetings are THE place where members connect with their peers and hear from the industry’s most influential thought leaders. The Joint Committee Meeting was held in February and brought together 134 of our most engaged members from 88 member companies. This was followed by our Executive Leadership Conference, Roadshow, Young Professionals Conference, and finally our Annual Meeting.
The 2022 Executive Leadership Conference (April 24-26) held in Marco Island, Fl., brought together 144 PMMI members from 85 member companies for three days of networking, learning, and fun.
In September, 249 member executives came together to network and learn at PMMI’s Annual Meeting. Members had the opportunity to connect with their peers and hear from thought leaders on everything from successful selling techniques to onboarding new employees to the voice of the customer. One highlight of the meeting was the tour of nVenia’s, a Duravant Company, world-class manufacturing facility where members had the opportunity to learn about operational best practices and manufacturing advances implemented at this forward-thinking organization.

This year PMMI held our 5th PMMI Roadshow - first one since 2019.  This Roadshow had the largest attendance to date with 112 attendees representing all segments of the supply chain.  The event was held in July at Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis, Missouri.  Attendees heard from Anheuser-Busch Packaging and Bottling Leadership and were given a tour of the A-B Bevo Plant.  Barry Wehmiller hosted the Roadshow and provided two industry speakers for the program: Carol O’Neill, group president, packaging at Barry Wehmiller and Michelle Bryson, Barry Wehmiller’s global sustainable packaging leader.
We had a great turnout at our first-ever Young Professionals Conference in St. Louis on Friday, July 15, which was held immediately following the Roadshow at Anheuser-Busch. Attendees heard from Mark Anderson, from ProMach, Nancy Wilson, from Morrison Container Handling Solutions, and Lisa Rathburn from T. Additional topics included management strategies for employee retention and tips for leading when you’re not the boss.
This year PMMI held a two-part townhall series addressing the challenges our members are facing with the Supply Chain.  As a result of discussions at the ELC, PMMI convened both OEMS and Suppliers to share best practices to help navigate the challenges everyone is facing.  The first day touched on the Manufacturers’ perspective. The second day touched on the Suppliers’ perspective as well as provided the Suppliers an opportunity to answer questions and provide insight.
