ProFood Tech Gears up for Momentous 2019 Return

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The U.S. market for food and beverage processing machinery projects to break the $6 billion barrier, reaching $6.1 billion by 2021, according to the 2018 Global Trends Food and Beverage Processing Report by PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies. To address this impending demand, ProFood Tech (March 26-28, 2019, McCormick Place, Chicago) is the only processing trade show in North America that transcends market sectors, welcoming 7,000 professionals from all food and beverage processing markets.

Produced by three of the world’s trade show leaders, PACK EXPO, Anuga, and the International Dairy Food Association (IDFA), the three-day event showcases cutting-edge crossover technologies and innovative solutions from 450 exhibitors over 150,000 net square feet of exhibit space. Nearly two-thirds of the dairy, beverage, baking and snack, meat/poultry/seafood, confectionery, grain/mill/cereal, fruits and vegetables, pet food/pet care and ingredients professionals who visit ProFood Tech have significant or final buying power.

“The success of the inaugural ProFood Tech 2017 confirmed our belief that the industry craved an all-inclusive, one-stop shop for their food and beverage processing needs,” says Jim Pittas, president and CEO of PMMI. “The comprehensive nature of ProFood Tech allows senior management and even C-Suite level processing professionals to find real value in one event, under one roof.”

Exhibitors at ProFood Tech 2017 cited the quality and variety of attendees as just some of the reasons they would return in 2019.

“We connected and networked in ways we would could not have previously, given the mix of attendees interested in processing, packaging, automation and logistics,” says Paul Irvine, CEO, PlexPack Corp. “No doubt, it is already another must attend event.”

More than just a trade show, ProFood Tech convenes the entire food and beverage processing industry with world-class educational offerings, networking receptions and industry award ceremonies. The ProFood Tech Conference Program, produced by IDFA, offers a wide range of educational experiences covering regulations and food safety, consumer trends and marketing, food processing advances and technology, as well as business and leadership development. Additionally, ProFood Tech will welcome the Packaging & Processing Women’s Leadership Network, Emerging Leaders, Cold Pressure Council, the Manufacturing Innovation Awards, the Sustainability Excellence in Manufacturing Awards (SEMA) and more.

“The International Society of Beverage Technologists (ISBT) has had a presence at PMMI’s trade shows for many years because we believe in the product,” says Larry Hobbs, executive director, ISBT.  “We look forward to contributing to the educational programs and continued success of ProFood Tech.”

Since ProFood Tech occurs biennially, the ProFood Live conference debuts June 20-21, 2018 in Chicago. This bridge between show years presents the collective industry expertise of ProFood World magazine, providing real-world solutions in manufacturing, automation and sustainability. All ProFood Tech exhibitors who have purchased booth space by June 1, 2018, receive promotion at the ProFood Live event.
