Arapahoe Community College

Arapahoe Community College (ACC) was established in 1965 as a public, open access, high-achieving community college with three campuses in Littleton, Parker, and Castle Rock. ACC encompasses one of the largest service areas of the thirteen colleges in the Colorado Community College System, serving portions of the most densely populated counties in Colorado-Arapahoe, Douglas, Denver, and Jefferson Counties and more than 10,000 students. Arapahoe offers nearly 100 degree and certificate programs covering a wide range of academic, business and technical fields of study.

Mechatronics Engineering Technology

Mechatronics is an aspect of engineering that focuses on design, implementation, and maintenance of products and processes integrating mechanical, electrical, and programmable engineering technologies.  This program that prepares individuals to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills in support of engineers and other professionals engaged in developing, installing, calibrating, modifying and maintaining automated systems. Includes instruction in computer systems, electronics and instrumentation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electric, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems, actuator and sensor systems, process control. Therefore, the Mechatronics Engineering Technology degree supports a number of jobs in the advanced manufacturing field such as Electronics Technician, Maintenance Technician, Inspector, Production Technician, Mechatronics Technician, Process Technician, Electromechanical & Industrial Engineering Technician, Mechanical Engineering Technician, Electro-mechanical technician, Industrial Engineering Technician, Electronics Engineering Technicians, Robotics technicians, Electrical Engineering Technician, and Manufacturing Production Technician.
